Featuring members Bob Balch of Fu Manchu (guitar / vocoder vocals), Scott Thomas Reeder of Kyuss / The Obsessed (production / bass) and Fu Manchu drummer Scott Reeder, the band describes their sound as being inspired by DEVO, VOIVOD, KRAFTWERK, TORCHE and SLAYER, as much as it's inspired by ASWAD, JOE PASS and WES MONTGOMERY." Adds frontman Balch, "The riffs are heavy and the vocoder vocals are full of harmonies. I wanted a super heavy groove that would support angelic vocal harmonies. I think we have achieved that."

"If Queens of the Stone Age called themselves "robot rock," then Vocoder-saturated bandroids Sun and Sail Club are rebooting the '80s-era Transformers cartoon -- bright, colorful, heavy as anything. More than meets the eye, this crew -- former Kyuss/Obsessed bassist Scott Thomas Reeder and current Fu Manchu members Bob Balch and Scott Reeder -- shoots the sludge-bubblegum stoner pop of contemporary bands like Torche and Baroness into the center of Bambaataa's Planet Rock." - SPIN

"Sun And Sail Club take pretty much everything to the next level for a truly fresh take on the genre. This record is going to blow your mind" - METALSUCKS.net

"The band's psychedelic mix of stoner rock and vocoder harmonies sounds like a really weird combination, yet somehow, it works amazingly well. This album is dope. We want to join the SUN AND SAIL CLUB." - METALINSIDER.net
